History of Kalapurnam

From Deolali Mumbai to North-East almost at a distance of 160km, there was a pre-independence British Army Camp. It’s said about Deolali that Deolali’s air works as a medicine in itself. To this day, millions of patients that have visited Deolali to have a change of pace, are brought to Sanatorium. Situated among the most beautiful religious places and temples in Nashik and Deolali is Mukti Dham. This city remains to be a host for many Buddhist monks, along with one of the famous hills - Pandava’s Cave.

Near Deolali was a small town named Bhagur which in today’s era is popular all across the world. It seems that Bhagur is the birthplace of India’s renowned freedom fighter, Vinayak Damodar Sawarkar who founded the Abhinav Bharat Society and Free India Society.

Back then, the British ruled over India along the golf course of Delolali Cantonment, one of India’s biggest golf courses. The year was 2001 when Gujarat and Kutch faced an uncanny earthquake leaving the lands wrecked. Kutch’s Waghad Samaj soon made their way towards the calm and spiritual Deolali after facing such massive destruction.

Deolali’s fascinating air from the grapes garden and sandalwood trees attracted most people from Waghad. But the rule of Jain culture - to not leave the locality where the temple was founded - only led to the formation of Gunopasak Parivar Trust. This trust requested Guru Bhagwant to establish a magnificent temple in Deolali as well.

Guru Bhagwant then guided his fellows to begin working on something small yet beautiful - a temple for all! This tiny Jain temple soon started being home to many people as time passed by. This home only kept growing with the growing love it kept receiving all throughout.

With Guru Bhagwant’s cooperation and Deolali’s blessings, Gunopasak Parivar Trust is now viewed as Tirth Dham. The temple consisted of Mulnayak Parmatma Shri Munisuvrat Swami Bhagwan along with 24 Shikhar Bandhi Derasar, Shree Nageshwar Parshwanath Prabhu’s Pratima (7ft) in kaussaga Mudra in the basement. Along with a magnificent Guru Mandir of Adhyatmayogi Acharya Dev Shri and an Artistic Temple of Tapagacch Adhisthayak Shri Manibhadraveer.

An 81*81 Ft huge Rangmandap (Without Pillar), a stunning Background behind Jin Pratima which depict various things like Jin Bhagwant’s Birth, their world renouncement, their achieving enlightenment and finally nirvana depicting the life of Jain Bhagwant within Just picture, the temple pillars are filled with sculptors of men and women from that time and how highly they considered the Jain Bhagwant and how rich our Indian culture. Not only the temple but the area surrounding the temple is filled with captivating beautiful gardens and the construction of jinalaya is done in a huge area of 60,000 sq. ft with 7lakh Dhanphat Marble
